The “futbol determinism” is colliding with the reality of local budgets. Bellingham, Washington was slated to host a World Cup Watch Party as part of Seattle’s statewide watch-party strategy to attract tourism to other parts of the state. Unfortunately, this will no longer happen in Bellingham as the city is now scaling back its efforts. They hope you visit at least.
