Crazy times that we are in. No official sources have confirmed the news, but at a Houston Sports Commission meeting, it was spilled that Washington, D.C. might be hosting the 2026 World Cup Draw. There’s only one reason why that event would come to DC: Trump. The bromance between Infantino and Trump is going to push this World Cup over the line, but the consequences of such relationship post-2026 will influence future host nations for decades to come. From a local perspective, hosting the draw in a city where the federal government is being dismantled is beyond surreal to say the least (especially since I live here).
